Roadside Station Teshio
Roadside Station Teshio faces the Teshio Bypass (National Route 232) which links Sapporo-Rumoi to Wakkanai. The station is located on the former tracks of the now defunct Japanese National Railways Haboro Line along the Teshio Bypass. The facility features a tourist information center, restaurant, and shop, all of which warmly welcome travelers. The restaurant serves curry made with Sakhalin surf clams caught in the nearby ocean, and the local specialty of shijimi clam ramen, so a visit here is the perfect place for a taste of Teshio. The shop also sells seafood such as local shijimi clams, dairy products, sweets, soft serve ice cream, and other treats.
