Kawaguchi Ruins Forest

In the Kawaguchi Ruins Forest, a group of 230 pit dwellings is distributed over an area measuring 200 meters wide by 1.5 kilometers long in the sand dune forest along the shore of the Teshio River. This is a valuable site that offers insights into the Zoku-Jomon, Satsumon, and Okhotsk cultures' way of living. Visitors can enjoy looking at the restored ancient dwellings and strolling through nature nearby.
