Michi-no-Eki Sarufutsu Park (Roadside Rest Area)

Michi-no-Eki Sarufutsu Park is located between the Sea of Okhotsk, with Sakhalin visible in the distance, and the vast Sarufutsu Village Farm. The entire park is designated as a roadside rest area and features dining, accommodation and leisure facilities. This area provides locals and tourists alike with a space to relax. Yume-kukan sells scallops and milk, Sarufutsu specialties, alongside confectionery and seafood from neighboring villages. The scallop and rice bento (boxed lunches), scallop skewers and soft serve ice cream made using milk from Sarufutsu are particularly recommended. Sarufutsu Marugotokan sells freshly caught live scallops and Sarufutsu milk, a local specialty. Visitors can try shucking scallops fresh from the tank before having them grilled there and then. Hotel Sarufutsu comprises accommodation, a store, a restaurant and a public bathhouse. The only hotel in Sarufutsu Village, it is located on the grounds of Michi-no-Eki Sarufutsu Park. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with a wide range of scallop dishes. Other facilities include a campsite, cabins and park golf course.
